SUCCESS Online Probation Workshop
SUCCESS Online Probation Workshop
Important Notice:
Idaho State University is in the midst of a three-year project to upgrade its electronic services. As a part of this, we have created a new Internet portal called BengalWeb. To find out more about using BengalWeb and all of the services it provides, just go to http://bengalweb.isu.edu
Many processes, policies, practices, and even terminology will be different in the new system. The Academic Advising Center staff asks for your patience and understanding as the entire university community experiences this exciting transition.
Students, faculty, and staff will need to take responsibility, seek information, and familiarize themselves with the Banner system. It is important for students to check ISU email regularly for important updates.
Students are welcome and encouraged to consult the AAC website, the AAC online workshops, and the Tiger-i resource site (www.isu.edu/tigeri/) at any time for clarification and review.
This workshop was designed to help you understand what may have contributed to you not doing as well academically as you could have, and also, to inform you about the resources that are available to you in the upcoming semesters.
The Academic Advising Center (AAC) will provide you with information that should help move you toward academic excellence but will rely on you to take the responsibility of assessing what it is you specifically need to be successful and then applying what you've learned to subsequent semesters of attendance.
You may be taking this workshop because you are required to do so or you may be taking the workshop for other reasons. If you are taking this workshop because you are required to, a registration block has been placed on your ability to register. After you have completed this online workshop and submitted your academic plan, your registration block will be cleared within approximately one working day. If you are taking this workshop for any other reason, please submit an academic plan, but you do not need to be concerned about a registration block.
At the end of this online workshop, you will be required to submit responses to the questions below. Take notes for yourself as you progress through the session so you will be ready to write and submit your responses without delay.
- What led you to probation?
- What will you do differently in the future to avoid probation?
- What resources will you use in the future?
We recommend that you meet personally with an academic advisor each month if you are on probation. Please contact an AAC advisor at one of the following locations:
